#90995 After the sit-in at Guildford School of Art the previous year, a march through London by students from Guildford and Hornsey Schools of Art to a rally in Hyde Park. Jack Straw, Vice-President of the National Union of Students (later, Foreign Secretary), addressing students after presenting a petition for a Public Enquiry to the Minister for Education. 28th May 1969. The sit-in was the longest ever at a UK education establishment and led directly to students being on the boards of all establishments today.
