In 1979 I had a grant from the Scottish Arts Council to be attached to the Art & Design Dept at the newly opened Wester Hailes Education Centre on the western edge of Edinburgh. I worked with the kids, showing them how I worked and what I was aiming at as well as living on the housing scheme and photographing the locals. The photos made an exhibition and a booklet.
