#90903 During the sit-in at Guildford School of Art in 1968, Surrey County Council cut off the power to the building. The students brought in a generator and turned it on again. On the 3rd July, police arrived to oversee it's removal. Students held a meeting to discuss the power situation. The sit-in was the longest ever at a UK education establishment and led directly to students being on the boards of all establishments today.
